Stacey's Winter Wish Collab Kit

You all have had the phrase "Bad Things Happen To Good People" right? Well Stacey is a prime example of that statement. Stacey and her family have been fighting a terrible fight against cancer but against it all she has remained faithful and true to her friends and fellow designers so we wanted to show just how much she is loved. Hopefully this collab will help raise funds for gas for the many doctor appts she has in her future as well as any medical expenses they may incur.

This personal use collab features both tagger & full size products as well as alphas, quick pages and word art so there is something for everyone. Just an FYI ... some designers have contributed both tagger and full size portions.

This collab sells for $5.00 and 100% proceeds of the collab goes to Stacey to help with medical and gas expenses.

Winter Friends Comp Set

This comp set is made using the tutorial Candy Cane Directions by Cat of Tutorials by Cat & Schweetieangel. I love her tuts and have done them several times over the years, especially when I was 1st learning animation. She is sooo talented and I find when I need inspiration, I can do one of her tuts and it helps me be more creative. I did add my own flair though.

Through this tut, I found the most amazing site for clip art! It is called Tooshtoosh. Since I am addicted to clip art, I am sure my paypal will be very busy!!!! LOL

The artist does not allow for blanks, so I am sorry there isn't one in this set.

Also, before you rip me for saying Happy Holidays instead of Merry Christmas, there is one in the set. I wanted to use both so people have a choice.

Christmas Celebration Frame

Thanksgiving Day is not a holiday I observe. I try real hard to sleep through it. It is a time of remembrances of Thanksgivings past that were very special to me and reminds me of a huge loss in my life.

This year has been different. I did have a sad moment of tears, but I also found myself thinking of my scrapbooking sisters Stacey and Chris. Stacey is struggling with cancer and thank goodness she got to come home from the hospital for the holiday. (Read further down on my blog and you can see how to help.)

Chris, my "cybersissy" was all excited about her daughter getting married and then to have a nephew being killed in an accident. Now her brother is fighting for his life.

It is the sad times that teach us all to be thankful.

This Thanksgiving I am very thankful for my family and friends. Words just do not describe what is in my heart. So, I decided to make a freebie for you.

If you have not done so yet and you snag up the freebie, please say a prayer for our scrapbooking sisters who are suffering. While you're at it, please say thank you! Not to me, but to your higher power for the blessings you have.

My New Blog Design

I just uploaded my Christmas/Winter blog design. I hate rushing the season, BUT, I love this kit and was so excited to get it posted, I did not want to wait.

I purchased the kit I used from Cajoline Scraps. It is called Premiersfrimas. It is in French, so I hope I did this right.

I love making cutesy things, but am not good with glitzy! I have to work on that. LOL This kit is for personal use only.

My grandson Danny found a pine cone Tuesday and I told him he could decorate it.

This morning before he went to pre-school, I let him decorate it with glitter paint. He just had the best time doing something new!

Through the Craft Crave Search Engine, I found this adorable scrap kit called Pumpkin Time.

Once I saw the preview, I knew I had to have it. It is the most adorable kit!!!

I wanted to make a comp set using the Panda Bear and the Valentine's Day Plaids from Katelynn's Designs.

After making the set, I was making a sig tag for myself and some friends and decided to use a white background instead.

Then I had to make another comp set using just the white background.

So now you have 2 to choose from OR take em' both! LOL

*Note: I have something to say to the digital scrapbooking community and I hope it makes a difference in the freebies offered for CU.

I love grabbing CU Freebies, as do all of us. I make them when I can as well. A pet peeve of mine is to go to the trouble to download one just to find out I need to purchase a license to use it, then end up deleting it.

In that case it is not FREE and to call it a Freebie is misleading!

I think it would be a great idea if you require a CU License, that you add a -CUL at the end of the file name so everyone knows a Commercial Use License is needed.

I love the Scrapping Cop's site. She makes it perfectly clear a CUL is needed, if you use her freebies as CU! I wish everyone who offers CU Freebies makes it this plain.

I have just discovered Delta Moon Soapworks! My daughter in CA sent me a bar of the unscented soap and I have to say, it is the best soap I have ever used. Having dry skin and extremely sensitive to different soaps, it is so nice to finally find one that makes my skin feel so soft and not itch!

I made 10 plaid seamless patterns today with fall colors. I also make a frosty overlay if you want to add a little frost to your patterns. It is hard to show that here because it is so fine. I added it to the backgound of the preview, but I still don't think it shows very much.

These patterns are for PU as well as CU.

Relay For Life Scrap Kit

UPDATE:

I never knew what Relay For Life was till last week. My daughter Heather has joined a team in her town of Pittsburg, CA for Relay For Life. While we were discussing her team, I told her I would make a scrap kit to sell.

Relay For Life is a fundraiser to fight back against Cancer. It also supports those who have it and remembers those we have lost. More information can be seen HERE. I have lost so many family members to cancer and my brother is struggling with chemo and radiation now.

I have created a Relay For Life Scrap Kit in full and tagger sizes to help raise money for this cause.

Chris of Scrapping Your Memories has offered to give 100% of all sales (not profit) of this kit to Relay For Life. What a blessed angel she is for doing this. She lost her mother to cancer as well.

Each kit sells for $4.00. Like I said, 100% of the SALES will go to Relay For Life!

Please spread the word to all your scrapbooking friends and help us raise as much as we can for this awesome cause!
